DigiTar™ is proud to announce the release of Sentinel Kamiza™ and Sentinel Messaging™ Portal 2.8! Both provide exciting new enhancements to the Sentinel Messaging™ customer experience! Portal revision 2.8 signifies a major evolution in the way both administrative and non-administrative customers interact with Sentinel Messaging™! Foremost among the enhancements is the introduction of Sentinel Kamiza™, DigiTar's premier administrative console for Sentinel Messaging™. Sentinel Kamiza™ and Sentinel Messaging™ 2.8 are a part of the Sentinel Messaging™ Fall 2007 service release.

Sentinel Kamiza™

Kamiza™ provides administrators comprehensive administrative control over a wide range of Sentinel Messaging™ functionality including:

Searchable and filterable access to the Sentinel Messaging™ User Directory for every domain belonging to the organization.
Full quarantine access via DoppelGanger™ technology. Authorized administrators can assume any user's persona and perform all Portal tasks available to the user (including releasing, whitelisting, or deleting messages).
Uncompromised access to view and/or modify all user settings (including passwords and whitelists).
Domain-wide access to per-user Sentinel Messaging™ statistics.

Key to Kamiza™ is its integration with the Sentinel Messaging™ Portal. No need to learn a new interface! By leveraging existing Portal interfaces and operations, Kamiza enables administrators to use the same familiar controls in administering their users that they use to manage their own personal Portal. Sentinel Messaging™ Portal 2.8

Kamiza™ is not the only enhancement in the Sentinel Messaging™ Portal! Version 2.8 incorporates significant refinements to the Portal's end-user interface and operations. Informational displays have been enhanced to incorporate AJAX technology, thereby providing an even faster and more responsive end-user experience. Operations such as message selection have also been improved to more closely anticipate the customer's intentions!

Key features of Sentinel Messaging™ Portal 2.8 include:

Major upgrade of user interface elements across the Portal, providing a fresh and consistent experience.
A new global status pane. The pane provides centralized display for detailed confirmations and information regarding the actions customers perform.
Collapsible informational panes now look and operate identically regardless of the information they display (i.e. "Status" pane and "View Full Headers" pane). Performance of the informational panes has also been significantly enhanced.
Tooltips sport an exciting new appearance which enables them to display vastly more information and to more clearly associate with the elements they clarify.

intelliBLOCK: World breakthrough in Directory Harvest Attack protection!

The world's first directory harvest (DHA) blocking technology to keep spammers in the dark about your user list, while enabling notification of innocent senders who accidentally mistype an address. Along with intelliBLOCK™, DigiTar™ also introduces an industry first of empowering customers to choose the DHA blocking behavior that best suits their organization. intelliBLOCK™ is included with every Sentinel Messaging™ account and is available today for all existing customers!

Before intelliBLOCK™, customers had to live with the method of DHA blocking their e-mail security solution chose for them. Protection fell into two camps: no protection at all, or "stealth" protection. Stealth protection does indeed keep spammers from knowing which of the recipients they're targeting are valid. However, silently dropping messages to invalid recipients prevents innocent folks who mistype an e-mail address from knowing their message was not received. DigiTar analysis catches Sun Microsystem's eye.
